Visual Storytelling
A music video set to KRS One’s “Raw Hip Hop.” KRS One is one of the art form’s originators and he continues to influence the genre. This video functions as a tribute to the origins of Hip Hop, my first love in music and a great American folk tradition. Emphasis is on the four foundational elements of the culture referenced in this song: breaking, graffiti, DJs, and MCs.
A practice in creative transitions and mixed media. These images were cut, distressed, and torn by hand before being rescanned and digitally edited.
